St. Lawrence River

Muscallonge

Depth 99 ft

Muscallonge or Muskie as she is often called, was a 128ft long wooden tug. Built in 1896, she caught fire and was intentionally ran aground in 1936. After hitting the shoal, she then broke in two and sunk. Main part of the vessel, sans the stern and the prop is broken up but there is still a lot to see, such as boiler, the engine, various other artifacts including the china that divers put together for everyone to see.
